Ervin's focus has always been strongest in the fields of Farming and Auctioneering. His background covers a variety of professional experiences from service the the U.S. Army, where he was commissioned 2nd. Lt. to advanced schooling in Indiana and Missouri. In December of 1964, he obtained his Indiana Auctioneer's License.

He became a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Indiana in March of 1978, and in just two years, completed his Real Estate Broker’s Course at Indiana University SE, May 1980.That same year, he became a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Indiana.

That set of achievements prompted the opening of The Day Company Realtors in October, 1980. Later that same year, in November, he formed Day & Lyles Auction Service Partnership.

The best of all worlds represented by farming, auctioneering, and real estate lend strong insight into the needs people have when pursuing ownership or selling of properties. Ervin's understanding of these markets and the clients' needs make his agency unique in providing the best services to a demanding public.
